Will we have "snow days" this school year?

School buildings, facilities, and transportation may be closed due to inclement or extreme weather (poor air quality, freezing rain, snow, freezing temperatures, wind chills, etc.)

In the case of these closures, students will transition to a remote learning schedule. On these days, students will receive live, remote instruction in the morning, followed by student support time and teacher directed activities in the afternoon.  School specific remote learning schedules will be available on our school websites by Wednesday, November 18th. Transitioning to a remote learning schedule will alleviate our need for snow makeup and canceled school days.

Families should be prepared for building closures and have alternate childcare plans in place for students. Students should be prepared by making a habit of bringing their Chromebooks and school supplies home daily. Teachers will communicate with families about the supplies that students will need to transition between the classroom and home.

It is essential that we have current contact information for all families to relay these messages. If you have recently changed your phone number or email address, please contact your child’s school to make these important updates. Text messaging is the fastest way to receive inclement weather messaging from our district. If you are not yet receiving our text messages and you would like to, text the word ‘HELP’ to the number 67587 and follow the prompts to opt-in.
