Welcome to THE!

Dear Terrace Heights Families,

My name is Marla Green and I am proud to serve as the principal of Terrace Heights Elementary in the East Valley School District. What makes Terrace Heights special is the people and the way we come together as a community.

At Terrace Heights Elementary, we want every student to Be Here, Be You, and Belong. We work to create a school where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Strong partnerships between home and school are an important part of making that happen.

Being at school each day matters. Every day gives students opportunities to learn and be part of their classroom community. Whenever possible, we encourage families to schedule appointments and trips outside of the school day.  If getting to school becomes difficult for any reason, please reach out so we can help.

Our PAWS expectations—Problem Solve, Accept Responsibility, Work Hard, and Show Respect—guide how we learn and care for one another.  We even have a fun little chant to help our student remember the expectations.

Communication is important to us, and ParentSquare is our primary way of sharing important school information, reminders, and upcoming events. We also try to be mindful of your notifications, so we save much of the day-to-day fun for our social media pages. Follow us there for celebrations, photos, and a peek at all the great things happening at Terrace Heights Elementary!

I am very proud of our Black Bears and grateful to be part of this community. Please reach out anytime with questions, concerns, or celebrations!
